Trip Itinerary :

Day 1 : Beirut - Colombo.

Departure Beirut to Colombo via Sharjah.   

DAY 2 : Colombo - Pinnawala (83 Kms) - Dambulla.

Arrival Colombo Airport. Meet, assist and proceed to the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala, which was started in 1975 to house abandoned and wounded elephants. The sanctuary covers 25 acres of lush vegetation with an approximate population of about 89 elephants (both adult and baby elephants). Overnight stay at Camellia Resort.

DAY 3 : Dambulla.

After breakfast,  Optional excursion to Sigiriya. Climb the Sigiriya Rock, which is home to 5th century "Fortress In the sky". On its summit are the  foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and garden. On one of the stairways is the only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of frescoes of life sized damsels in all the freshness and delicacy of their original color. Overnight stay at Camellia Resort.

DAY 4 :  Kandy (88 km).

After breakfast, proceed to Kandy, en route visit  a spice garden in Matale to see the different spices, which Sri Lanka is famous for. Witness a Cookery demonstration. Afternoon city tour of Kandy, which is a world heritage site. Drive around the Kandy lake, and visit Kandy town and bazaar, a gem museum, a lapidary and arts and crafts center. In the evening visit Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which was brought to Sri Lanka and grown in repute and holiness throughout the Buddhist world. Overnight stay at royal Kandyan Hotel.  

DAY 5 :  Nuwara Eliya (77 kms).

After breakfast, visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden. This botanical garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, enroute visiting a Tea Plantation and a tea factory, where the best Tea in the world is produced. Here you will observe all about the process of manufacturing and grading tea. Taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the Factory. Transfer from tea plantation to Nuwara Eliya, which is the "Little England" of Sri Lanka, set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys and  Waterfalls. Overnight stay at  Araliya Red Hotel.

DAY 6 : Colombo (105 km).

After breakfast leave for Colombo, via Kitulgala, where along the river Kelani, the broadest river in Sri Lanka, the Oscar winning movie “Bridge on the River Kwai” was filmed.

Afternoon proceed for sightseeing Tour of Colombo driving through the Commercial area of the "Fort" so named, because both the Portuguese and Dutch had a Fort here. Drive past "Pettah", the noisy Oriental bazaar, view a Hindu temple, Jumi-ul Alfar Jumma Mosque, Wolvendaal Dutch Church, Hultsdorf Law courts, and the residential area of Cinnamon Gardens, Independence Square and Bandaranayke Memorial Conference Hall. Overnight stay at Morven Hotel.

DAY 7 : Colombo - Beirut. After breakfast, transfer to Colombo airport and return to Beirut.
